Paranormal Paranoia

By Dylan Kapp

In 1954 Dylan and James moved into a farmhouse in Rice Lake, Wisconsin, with their 3 daughters Jaelyn, Erin, and Jamal. Their dog, Max, refused to enter the house.

Not long after they moved in, they discovered an entrance to a secret door that has been boarded up. Paranormal events occurred nearly every night they stayed there. Every clock in the house stopped at 4:02 a.m. Birds flew into their windows, and one morning Max was found dead.

One day Jaelyn woke up with large bruises; Jamal encountered a spirit; and Erin heard clapping in the hallway and followed it to the secret room. She became trapped. Dylan and James were attacked in their bedroom by a spirit believed to be the one that Jamal had encountered.

James called demonologists Zach and Dylan, who were known for their investigation of a possessed doll called Chucky.

The demonologists agreed to take the case and conducted an initial investigation during which Sam, a clairvoyant, saw that dark forces had latched onto the family; leaving the house would not free them.

To gather evidence, they placed cameras, recorders, and bells around the house with the help of their assistant, Emmanuel, and a police officer named Jason.

Further research revealed that the house once belonged to an accused witch named Hagatha, who sacrificed her week-old baby to the devil and killed herself in 1783 at 4:02 a.m. after cursing all who lived on her land.

The investigators found reports of numerous murders and suicides through the years in the houses that were built on the property.

One morning Hagatha appeared to Erin and vomited black bile on her possessing her body. Erin saw Hagatha’s corpse hanging in the tree behind the house.

That night the group heard a spirit lure Jamal into a wardrobe. There, the ghost revealed a secret passage. Jamal entered the passage and fell through the floorboards to the cellar where he saw the spirit of a woman whom Hagatha had possessed long ago. There Jamal lost a locket containing a picture of the daughters.

Hagatha then attacked James and the incident was caught on camera.

The family concluded there was sufficient evidence to receive authorization from the Catholic Church to perform an exorcism on the house. The family decided to take refuge at a motel while Zach and Dylan took their evidence to Father Nelson.

Father Nelson explained that the approval for the exorcism would have to come directly from the Vatican because the family was not a member of the church.

Meanwhile, Zach was attacked by Hagatha and Chucky when he returned home. He almost died, but was narrowly saved by his father.

Hagtha returned Chucky to his box and returned to her own land.

James had enough and took Jaelyn back to the house to kill Hagatha and save Erin. They found Erin in the cellar trying to stab an intruder. As James and Dylan fight to stop her, Dylan warned Erin that if they take her outside the house, Hagatha will kill her. The group tied the intruder to a chair.

Zach then decided that the exorcism cannot wait and he attempted it himself. Things went a foul and Dylan was forced to complete it himself. He lifted Hagatha’s curse, forcing her to reveal herself to those present and damning herself to Hell.

After expelling Hagatha from Erin’s body, the family reunited. Returning home, Zach added a haunted music box from the farmhouse to their room of cursed artifacts that they have collected from past cases.
