The Court
The basketball court is filled
With extremely loud and mindful people.
Children are screaming and laughing.
It holds the player’s futures.
It has a hard, flat surface
with lines for positions.
The smell of fresh air is replaced
By a musty stench from the players’ sweat.
Even so, they will come back.
